Salman Khan Responds to Criticism Over Age Gap with Rashmika Mandanna in *Sikandar.
The trailer for *Sikandar*, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, was unveiled on Sunday. The film has been a topic of discussion due to the 31-year age gap between Salman, 59, and Rashmika, 28. Addressing the criticism, Salman defended his casting, questioning why people were concerned if Rashmika and her family had no issue with it.
Salman Khan Reacts to Trolls
At the trailer launch event in Mumbai, where he was joined by Rashmika and the film’s team, Salman brought up the social media backlash regarding his pairing with a younger actress.
Responding to a compliment about his appearance, Salman quipped, “Sometimes things get so chaotic that I don’t sleep for six to seven nights, and then these social media people start chasing me. So I have to show them that I’m still here.”
He further addressed the age gap debate, saying, “People say there’s a 31-year difference between me and my heroine. But if she doesn’t have a problem, and even her father is okay with it, then why should others have an issue? When she gets married and has a daughter, I’ll work with her daughter too. Her mother’s permission will be sorted.” Rashmika was seen laughing at his remark.
