Pawan Kalyan’s Son Injured in Singapore School Fire; Wife Anna Lezhneva Donates Hair at Tirumala in Spiritual Gesture
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, along with his wife Anna Lezhneva, recently faced a distressing time after their youngest son, Mark, was injured in a school fire in Singapore.
Following the incident, the couple returned to Hyderabad, with Pawan Kalyan seen protectively carrying his son in his arms. In a spiritual gesture of gratitude and faith, Anna visited the Tirumala temple, where she tonsured her head as an offering to Lord Venkateswara. Photos of the ritual have since gone viral on social media.
Pawan Kalyan, who leads the Jana Sena Party, also shared images of Anna on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that she had donated her hair during the temple visit.
During the visit, Anna reportedly signed a religious declaration — a formal custom for non-Hindu devotees at Tirumala. The declaration affirms the devotee’s belief in Lord Venkateswara and their intent to seek blessings. Head shaving is a long-standing tradition at the temple, often performed as a fulfillment of a vow or to express gratitude for divine blessings.
Tragic Fire at Singapore School Claims Life, Injures Several
The fire that injured Mark occurred at a school located in Singapore’s River Valley area, where flames engulfed the second and third floors. A widely circulated video shows firefighters breaking windows and rescuing students and staff from smoke-filled rooms.
The blaze tragically claimed the life of a 10-year-old girl and left 19 others injured, including Mark. According to Singapore’s Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam, emergency services responded promptly, with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) working swiftly to bring the situation under control. Among the injured were 15 children who sustained varying degrees of harm.
