Josh Allen isn’t just chasing another MVP season — he’s chasing sleep, too. The Buffalo Bills superstar quarterback, coming off a whirlwind offseason that included his marriage to actress Hailee Steinfeld, is now teaming up with Natrol, a sleep supplement brand, to highlight a wellness upgrade that could help elevate his game even more.

Josh Allen recently opened up in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, revealing that his discovery of Natrol came in the most unexpected way — during a long-haul flight back from Europe. “I’ve tried a lot of sleep and melatonin products before, and I just feel like they didn’t work for me,” Allen said. But this time, things were different. “I slept 10 hours on [that] flight. It was nine-and-a-half, 10 hours straight… I couldn’t believe there was only three hours left in the flight. It was such a moment for me.”

For an athlete who pours everything into the gridiron during the season and packs his schedule with travel, events, and golf during the offseason, sleep has been an elusive game-changer. “Throughout my career, my sleep has probably been the next thing that I need to really attack,” he admitted. “In the last couple of years, I’ve really gotten my diet down… but I still found myself, 11:30, midnight still up. And it’s not that I’m not trying to sleep — my mind is racing a million miles a minute. It’s clear that Allen isn’t just endorsing a product — he’s integrating it into his lifestyle. “If I can get diet down as well as my sleep down, sky’s the limit… I feel like this truly does help me be that [best version of myself].”To celebrate his collaboration with Natrol, Allen stepped into a surprising new role — Hollywood actor, at least for a day. In his new commercial, Allen plays multiple versions of himself, from quarterback to red carpet star to — yes — even a doctor. “We got to do a really cool commercial,” Allen said, laughing. “And it really did feel like I was an actor, a Hollywood actor.” He added, “We had all these different props… But it was a pretty cool-looking commercial and I was very excited to be a part of it.”Off the field, Allen’s life also hit a new milestone. On May 31, he married Sinners star Hailee Steinfeld in an outdoor ceremony in California. “I will mention that I did get married and that was the most important part,” Allen said with a grin. Their wedding was attended by close friends, teammates, and even Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David. Weeks later, Allen shared sweet snapshots of their tropical honeymoon with the caption “wifey,” signaling a new chapter in life. Now, with a wedding band on one hand and eyes set on a Super Bowl ring, Allen is entering the new season recharged — and fully rested. “There are some games where I do wake up feeling a little depleted… That’s why I think this product is going to be so big for me,” he said. “I’m very excited to see how it pays off this season.”Also Read: When Terry Bradshaw bragged about being a ‘sex symbol’ with hair in a wild Playboy moment
