“I would not call it a struggle, it was more about me adapting to the new environment : Asha Negi.

Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free streaming service, recently debuted the drama series Industry, which delves deep into the inner workings of the Hindi film industry.

Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), the show revolves around ambitious individuals striving to establish themselves in Bollywood, providing a glimpse into their struggles, challenges, and the stark realities they face. Industry boasts a talented ensemble cast including Gagan Arora, Chunky Panday, and Asha Negi, each playing pivotal roles.

Asha Negi portrays Sanya Sen, a character known for her intelligence and self-awareness, reflecting on her early days in Bollywood. She recalled, “I wouldn’t call it a struggle; it was more about adapting to a new environment. Hailing from Dehradun, I came from a middle-class family without any industry connections. With the help of a friend, I began auditioning. I arrived without prior theater experience or training, but I have no regrets. I cherish my journey and appreciate the challenges and successes along the way.”

Offering advice to aspiring actors, she emphasized the importance of thorough preparation, stating, “If you dream of becoming an actor, mastering the craft is essential. Attend workshops, participate in theater, observe people around you, gain diverse experiences, and actively pursue auditions. Even without connections, network diligently and persist in your efforts. Stay hopeful, as your dedication will eventually yield results.”
