7 Hollywood June 2025 Releases That Have Us All Stoked
The films pitched for a June 2025 release belong to different genres, which makes it a pretty intriguing combination to look forward to. However, we are pretty excited about the following seven:
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina has Ana de Armas as the protagonist and is a spinoff of the noted John Wick series. The neo-noir action thriller revolves around her character Eve Macarro, a ballerina getting trained under Ruska Roma’s assassin traditions. Her mission is to kill those who murdered her family. That’s where The Baba Yaga or John Wick (Keanu Reeves) comes in as he was the one who carried it out. So, expect an epic showdown between them in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.
2) The Life of Chuck (June 6, 2025)
A science fiction drama, The Life of Chuck was shown on September 6, 2024, at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it got the People’s Choice Award. Neon has scheduled its release in the United States on June 6, 2025. Based on Stephen King’s 2020 novella, the upcoming movie stars Marvel actors Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tom Hiddleston, and Karen Gillan, alongside Annalise Basso, Benjamin Pajak, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Jacob Tremblay, Kate Siegel, and Mark Hamill.

3) How to Train Your Dragon (Live-Action Remake, June13,2025)
Based on Cressida Cowell’s series of children’s books by the same name, How to Train Your Dragon was first made into an animated film in 2010. After its massive success at the box office and with the critics, talks were on for a live-action film and finally, plans were announced in February 2023. How to Train Your Dragon, the live-action remake, will have Gerard Butler reprising his Stoick the Vast character from the previous animated ventures.
4) Materialists (June 13, 2025)
Materialists starsactors like Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal in the lead roles. Therom-com drama has been directed byCeline Song, whose debut Past Lives was nominated for the Academy Awards. In this film, Johnson’s character, Lucy, is an ambitious matchmaker, caught between two men of contrasting profiles: Harry Castillo (Pascal), A wealthy businessman, and John (Evans), a struggling actor/waiter and her ex. The tension inside of her and in the air forces Lucy to introspect if her decisions and take on love and relationships are at all on the right track.
5) 28 Years Later (June 20, 2025)
A post-apocalyptic horror film, 28 Years Later comes third in the 28 Days Later film series after 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes, the Danny Boyle-directorial has OG star Cillian Murphy as the executive producer.
6) F1 (June 27, 2025)
Brad Pitt’s proper theatrical release in three years after Babylon, F1 deals with a forced-to-retire Formula One driver who is coaxed to return to the track and mentor a rookie prodigy, played by Damson Idris. Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem complete the main cast. The premiere of this upcoming sports drama in the United States and Canada is timed around the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix.
7) M3GAN 2.0 (June 27, 2025)
After the stupendous success of M3GAN (2022), makers are back with its sequel. Titled M3GAN 2.0, the science fiction film is set two years after the original. In this upcoming movie, Gemma will be seen as an author advocating for AI regulation with M3GAN reduced to a potentially harmless, small robotic doll. However, her technology gets stolen and what follows is a thrilling ride.
