Former Rolls-Royce chief designer Ian Cameron was fatally stabbed outside his Bavarian mansion, valued at £3 million, according to reports.

The 74-year-old British citizen was assaulted by an attacker at his residence in Herrsching, near Lake Ammersee. Reports indicate that police are actively searching for the suspect, who fled on foot from the scene.

According to The Sun, CCTV footage revealed that the power cables to the garages, where valuable items were stored, had been intentionally severed. Police have been conducting a thorough search of Ian Cameron’s home for any potential evidence related to the stabbing.

Search teams are currently scouring the vicinity near Ian Cameron’s residence in an effort to locate the perpetrator.

Ian Cameron resided in the mansion with his wife Verena Kloos and was renowned as an expert in vintage cars, having had a distinguished career at Rolls-Royce. He made significant contributions to the design of iconic models such as the 3 Series, Z8, Phantom, and Ghost.

The Sun also reported that the suspect is believed to be between 180cm to 190cm tall, wearing light trousers, a dark blue hoodie, yellow-green gloves, and carrying a red rucksack. Police noted that the combination of disabling CCTV and resorting to stabbing was highly unusual behavior for a burglar.
