Disha Patani is gearing up for her Hollywood debut in a supernatural action-thriller called Holiguards, directed by Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey, marking his return to directing after over 20 years. The film, which features an international cast and is shot in Mexico, includes stars like Dolph Lundgren, Tyrese Gibson, and Brianna Hildebrand.
Holiguards is part of a planned franchise named Statiguards vs Holiguards, and it promises thrilling supernatural action, already generating significant buzz during its post-production phase. A behind-the-scenes photo of Disha recently went viral, sparking much excitement among fans. The cast was last seen filming in Durango, Mexico, marking a major career milestone for Disha as she steps into the global spotlight with her first Hollywood project.
An industry insider say, “Disha was in Durango, Mexico as early as January this year, to shoot for the pilot of the show alongside Tyrese Gibson and Harry Goodwins, and the footage from those scenes looks absolutely stunning. The parts she’s in are visually spectacular, fans are truly in for a treat.”
This isn’t Disha Patani’s first international film. She previously starred alongside Jackie Chan in Kung Fu Yoga.
Apart from her Hollywood debut, Disha is also preparing for Welcome to the Jungle, the third movie in the popular Welcome series, which is scheduled to release in 2025.
Disha Patani began her acting career with the Telugu film Loafer in 2015. She made her Bollywood debut with the biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016. After starring in the Chinese action-comedy Kung Fu Yoga in 2017, she appeared in popular films like Baaghi 2 (2018), Bharat (2019), Malang (2020), and Kalki 2898 AD and Kanguva. She was also featured in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list in 2019.
Disha Patani was born on June 13, 1992, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She comes from a Hindu Kumaoni Rajput family. Her father, Jagadish Singh Patani, works as a police officer, and her mother is a health inspector. Disha has an elder sister, Khushboo Patani, who is a lieutenant in the Indian Army, and a younger brother named Suryansh. She studied engineering at Amity University in Lucknow but left during her second year.
