Anant and Radhika wedding also had delicacies from Mukesh Ambani’s favourite South Indian restaurant in Mumbai?

Apart from the lavish decor and expensive jewelry, the menu at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding became a talking point in India.

More than 2500 dishes were served, featuring cuisines from various regions of India and around the world. Local food stalls representing states like Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Kashmir were also present at the event. Interestingly, Mukesh Ambani’s favorite South Indian restaurant in Mumbai also contributed delicacies to the wedding.

Situated in Matunga, Mysore Cafe is a modest eatery known for its authentic South Indian cuisine. A video from the wedding captured Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant honoring Smt. Shanteri Nayak, the restaurant’s owner. Mukesh Ambani, reputedly a dosa enthusiast like many Indians, frequently orders from Mysore Cafe despite the family’s adherence to a healthy diet.

In the footage, Anant invites Radhika to meet Smt. Shanteri, introducing her as the owner of Mysore Cafe. Radhika mentions, “We enjoy your food every Sunday at our home.” Anant expresses gratitude for her presence at the wedding. The video also shows Anand Piramal and Shloka Mehta meeting the renowned restaurant owner.

Matunga, located centrally in Mumbai, is renowned for its South Indian dining scene, with Mysore Cafe standing out as a popular establishment. Established in the 1930s by Rama Nayak from Mangalore, the cafe began as a humble street cart and has since grown into a well-established restaurant. Signature dishes include dilkhush dosa, ulundu dosa, rasam wada, filter kaapi, mysore dosa, and pineapple sheera. Today, the restaurant is managed by Naresh Nayak, Shanteri Nayak’s son, and remains a beloved spot among Mumbaikars for authentic South Indian fare.
