Anees Bazmee, eagerly anticipating the commencement of filming for his upcoming project “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” recently underwent surgery following an injury. According to reports from Pinkvilla, the director sustained a leg injury on the final day of a 15-day location scouting trip for the film and was promptly hospitalized.
Having entertained audiences for over three decades, Anees Bazmee is poised to captivate fans once again with “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.” Teaming up with Kartik Aaryan for the third installment, the director is presently recuperating post-surgery.
Bazmee suffered a fracture to his right leg during the film’s location scouting, resulting in three cracks and a recommendation of six months’ bed rest with a plastered leg. Despite this, with filming scheduled to begin on March 10, Bazmee opted for surgery to expedite his recovery. A source close to the situation informed Pinkvilla, “The filmmaker opted for initial treatment at a local hospital during the scouting trip and returned to Mumbai. After consulting top doctors, he was presented with the choice of a steel plate followed by a three-month recovery period or surgery. Anees promptly chose surgery, prioritizing his commitment to filming ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ from March 10.”
Under the guidance of medical professionals, Bazmee underwent surgery in Mumbai on February 11. Demonstrating his dedication to his craft, he resumed work at his office on February 13, commencing meetings despite his injury. The source added, “With the script in hand, a walking frame nearby, and a fractured leg, Bazmee’s spirits are high as he prepares to film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik and Vidya Balan in March.”
Meanwhile, the film is slated for a Diwali release this year. In January, T-Series shared a picture featuring Bhushan Kumar, Anees Bazmee, and Kartik Aaryan, teasing the project. While the female lead has yet to be announced, reports suggest Sara Ali Khan may star opposite Kartik. However, the team has been in discussions with various actors for the role.
