Dutch shipyard Feadship has unveiled Project 824, a 100-metre (329-foot) custom superyacht and one of the largest vessels ever built at its Kaag facility.
The yacht, designed by Helsinki-based studio Jamsen, features a diesel-electric propulsion system powered by ABB pod drives—a configuration aimed at improving efficiency and reducing on-board vibration. According to Feadship, the setup reflects a broader move toward quieter and more sustainable cruising technologies within the large yacht sector.
While technical details remain limited, Feadship describes Project 824 as a vessel that “advances the boundaries of technical refinement and architectural expression.” It follows Symphony, a 101.5m (333ft) yacht launched in 2015, as the second largest project constructed at the Kaag shipyard.
The launch continues a trend of increasingly large and complex custom projects coming out of Dutch yards. Feadship, which specialises exclusively in bespoke builds, has been steadily expanding its capacity to accommodate demand for yachts over 90m (295ft) in length.
No delivery timeline or interior details have yet been confirmed, and Feadship has not disclosed the client behind the project.
