Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Enjoy a Taste of India at Chef Vikas Khanna’s New York Restaurant, Bungalow

Priyanka Chopra is known for her love of food, particularly Indian cuisine. Her husband, Nick Jonas, has also developed a taste for desi flavors, influenced by his wife.

Recently, the couple brought a touch of India to their dining experience at Chef Vikas Khanna’s famous restaurant, Bungalow, in New York. The restaurant, celebrated for its authentic Indian flavors and cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, has become a popular destination for many international celebrities, including Bollywood stars. Their dinner, shared in glimpses on Instagram stories, featured a festive setting, where Priyanka and Nick, along with Priyanka’s manager Anjula Acharia, enjoyed a meal that fused traditional Indian cuisine with modern twists, offering everything from savory dishes to exquisite desserts.

In true Indian hospitality, the restaurant decorated the dining area with rose petals that spelled out “Welcome,” adding a special touch to the evening. The meal’s standout dishes included a rich molten chocolate cake with cherry compote and gulab jamun ice cream, as well as a mango-themed dessert with coulis, mousse, and raspberries. Nick, affectionately called “Punjabi Jeej” by Anjula, also savored his favorite paneer dish. Priyanka shared her gratitude on Instagram, thanking the restaurant for its hospitality and Vikas Khanna for providing a taste of home. Fans appreciated the couple’s love for Indian food and culture during their New York outing.

Chef Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow has earned recognition as one of New York’s best restaurants, making it to the prestigious New York Times Best Restaurant list for 2024. Opened in March this year, Bungalow is located in New York’s East Village and offers a unique culinary experience that combines the nostalgia of India’s old club culture with the vibrant dining scene of the city. The restaurant, a collaboration between Vikas Khanna and restaurateur Jimmy Rizvi of Bombay House, serves as a tribute to Khanna’s late sister, Radhika, opening on what would have been her 50th birthday. The menu blends regional Indian dishes with modern interpretations, featuring items like Goan Shrimp Balchao Cones, Sindhi Aloo Tuk, and Kashmiri-inspired “Kiss of Kashmir.” The bar offers a selection of cocktails inspired by India, including the turmeric-flavored Kaali Peeli Taxi and the Chai Paani rum punch with a nostalgic Parle-G crumbled.
