Isha talks about the difficulties she faced while trying to conceive her babies

Isha Ambani, known for her prominent role in Indian business, is the daughter of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, leading figures in the business world.

She is actively involved in managing the Jio telecommunications division and is engaged in various other ventures, thus carrying forward her family‘s legacy. Additionally, Isha is happily married to Anand Piramal and they have two children, Krishna and Aadiya.

In a candid discussion, Isha shared the challenges she encountered while trying to conceive her children.

Nita Ambani, Isha’s mother, had faced similar difficulties when she was informed at the age of 23 that she couldn’t conceive naturally due to health issues. However, using advanced medical technologies like IVF, Nita successfully gave birth to her two children. Inspired by her mother’s experience, Isha also opted for IVF. Speaking to Vogue India, Isha emphasized:

“I’m open about the fact that my twins were conceived via IVF because it’s important to normalize it. No one should feel isolated or ashamed. It’s a challenging process. When you’re going through it, you’re physically exhausted.”

Isha courageously shared her IVF journey, aiming to break the taboo surrounding the topic. She believes that discussing it openly helps to destigmatize it. Notably, Isha and her twin brother, Akash, were both conceived through IVF.

“If modern technology exists to help people have children, why not embrace it? It should be something to look forward to, not something to hide. Finding support groups or connecting with other women can make the process much easier.”

Isha encourages others to normalize conversations about fertility treatments and find solidarity among women, which she believes can significantly ease the journey of pregnancy and improve coping mechanisms.
