Recognising the best in Marathi Cinema, Amey Wagh and Siddharth Chandekar to host the 8th edition of RR Kabel Filmfare Awards Marathi 2024.

~ Nominations for the Best Film Category include Jhimma 2, Vaalvi, Baipan Bhaari Deva, and more, while Aaatmapamphlet, Naal 2, Baaplyok, and others get nominated for Best Film Critics ~

 Filmfare is delighted to announce the highly anticipated RR Kabel Filmfare Marathi Awards 2024. Promising an evening brimming with laughter, glamour, and the celebration of exceptional talent, this unforgettable event is poised to captivate audiences on April 18, 2024, at the renowned Mahakavi Kalidas Natyamandir in Mumbai. These star-studded awards will be hosted by the charismatic duo of Amey Wagh and Siddharth Chandekar, renowned for their infectious energy and undeniable charm. Adding to the celebration, the evening will feature mesmerising performances by the supremely talented Prajakta Mali, Prathana Behere, Shruti Marathe, and Vaibhav Tatwawadi.

The Marathi film industry has delivered numerous hits this year, addressing diverse themes like women’s empowerment, family dynamics, discrimination, and comedy. Notable films released between January 2023 and December 2023 include Unaad, Baaplyok, and Vaalvi, each offering compelling storytelling, and has been nominated under the Best Film Category. Directors Aditya Sarpotdar, Ashish Avinash Bende, and Hemant Dhome are nominated for their contributions to the Marathi Industry, under the Best Director Category. Actresses Rohini Hattangadi, Vandana Gupte, and Gauri Deshpande have earned nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female). Filmfare will also acknowledge technical excellence alongside categories like Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male), Best Film Critics, and Best Story, amongst others.
